The Dave Ramsey Show

If you are in debt, you will definitely find inspiration and knowledge from listening to the Dave Ramsey Show.  He puts out 3 hours of Podcast every Monday – Friday.  Each hour has a segment called, the Debt Free Scream where we hear from real people and how they have overcome their debt and are ready to celebrate that win.  You definitely want to listen to this!  Another segment he does about once a month or so is the Millionaire Theme Hour where he has real millionaires call in and share how they became millionaires.  They could easily be your neighbor.

Choose FI

Brad and Jonathan are great cohosts for this very educational show.  They have a new guest every Monday and then on Friday, they have a Roundup where they discuss what they learned on Monday and talk about what they heard from their listeners.  They say this podcast is crowdsourced and they are getting ideas from their listeners on what they want to hear.  I strongly suggest going back and starting at episode one.  You will truly learn so much about the Financial Independence movement, but also might learn about retirement, investing, and side hustles.

Fire Drill Podcast

I can’t help but be addicted to the FireDrill Podcast.  Gwen (Fiery Millennial) and J (Millennial Boss) are the two cohosts, and the chemistry and balance they have for each other on the show makes this one of the most relatable and interesting podcasts I listen to.  They have two shows a week and bring on different guest for each show.  Although I have heard some of these guests on other podcasts, they have a way of asking them questions and getting to a part of the story we haven’t yet heard.  Both Gwen and J have different approaches to financial independence and have a lot to teach all of us.  Lots of learning and laughs in this one!

Afford Anything

Paula Pant is one of the most recognizable females in the financial independence world.  She is articulate and extremely intelligent. Although she is an expert at rental properties and is financially independent, she brings on guests to discuss all topics even those about happiness, finances, and relationships as well as so much more.  She has a segment called “Ask Paula” on every other show where she answers questions from her listeners.  It is so informative.

Journey To Launch Podcast

Journey to Launch

Jamila Souffrant is an amazing inspiration to all.  She has a full time career and is a mom to 3.  She and her husband have had an incredible journey to payoff debt and are now on the path to becoming financially independent.  This podcast is only a year old, but is becoming one that I am really finding enjoyment with.  She brings on new guests every week that will teach you about different topics on money.

  3. Lately I have been looking at the spending side of personal finance as one might look at an addiction. Every expenditure is looked at as ic it was a cigarette. I really want it but should I actually but it. That had done wonders to cut waste from my expenses. (And yes, I very recently quit smoking too)
